Personal Injury cases - These include not only traffic accidents and fall-down cases, but intentional assaults, recreational accidents, dangerous products, lead poisoning, sexual harassment, discrimination, police misconduct, consumer fraud, wrongful death, false arrest, medical and legal malpractice, broker malpractice, nursing home abuse and whistleblower cases. Sometimes, a case will seem to require the particular expertise or resources that another attorney or firm may have. If yours is such a case, after discussing it with you, we may reach out to such legal specialists to bring their talents to your case. Our goal is to help you get the best result possible.
Our fee is generally a contingent fee agreement whereby we are paid out of the recovery we acquire for you.
Workers' Compensation - If you are injured on the job or develop work-related illness in New Jersey, most employers will be obligated to provide you with free medical coverage, compensation for absence during your temporary disability, and compensation for any permanent disability that results from the injury or illness. Employers usually do not resist providing the first two benefits. However, the Permanent Disability Benefit is the reason that most injured workers decide to a lawyer. Most serious injuries result in some permanent disability for which compensation is due. You will be examined and evaluated by "our" doctors and by your employer's doctors, and a judge will decide whether you are entitled to payment for a disability.
There is no retainer; attorney fees are paid as set by the court.
Criminal Defense - We limit our caseload of serious felonies to insure that we will have the time and resources to handle your case optimally. We treat each case as if it will go to trial, as we aggressively seek alternatives. Trial is usually the last resort. "Winning" a case sometimes means getting the best possible plea bargain. An experienced attorney will give you options, helpful advice and counsel when you have tough decisions to make. We have extensive experience with juvenile crime, sexual offenses, white collar crime, computer and internet crime, gambling and drug offenses.
Whether you are a first-time offender or a "graduate of the system," we will educate you, and answer all your questions. Together with you, we will discover the best defenses available to you, and devise stratagem that may help you to avoid incarceration or to keep a clean record. We also handle expungements of criminal records.
Our fee is based on the number and degree of the charges, the difficulty of the case, and other factors. In addition to the retainer, which is normally paid in advance, you will be responsible for costs and daily trial fee, if trial is necessary.

Juvenile Law - Juvenile cases usually involve children whose futures are "on the edge" between being responsible, productive adults and lifetime criminals or substance-abusers. Sensitive and experienced handling of the juvenile's criminal matter may make a great difference in the young person's life. Programs and non-custodial alternatives may be available to help meet the system's stated goal of rehabilitation, rather than punishment. We handle juvenile matters in all counties, and have particular experience with juvenile sex crimes, malicious mischief and arson, weapons offenses, drug offenses, underage drinking, and computer crimes.
Our usual fee is $2,500 to $3,500 and encompasses up to three appearances.
Municipal Court - WE TAKE IT SERIOUSLY - Often underestimated, the Municipal Court is a powerful court which can impose serious penalties such as jail, probation, license suspension and heavy fines. Motor Vehicle points and insurance surcharges are some additional pitfalls in motor vehicle cases. You can only benefit by going to municipal court with an experienced attorney. We go to every municipality in New Jersey.
Our usual fee is $1,500.00 or less. DWI/DUI and drug cases may be more.
Professional Licenses - Nurses, Chiropractors, Pharmacists, Accountants, Dentists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, Realtors, Optometrists, Massage Therapists, Barbers and Beauticians, Attorneys, Doctors, Stock Brokers, Exterminators and many other trades and professionals are licensed, regulated or certified by the state. Occasionally such professionals must defend their licenses against accusations which put them in jeopardy. We appear before all such professional boards, and have particular experience with Attorney Ethics and the Department of Health and Human Services. We never forget that a client's livelihood may be in the balance.
Fees vary widely.
